Carlton Gardens Primary School is a government primary school located on Rathdowne Street opposite the Carlton Gardens.
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.
Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations. Contact our office and provide details about your primary residenctial location. Whilst we can accept enrolments from outside of our designated zone, we may still advise and encourage you to consider your closest neighbourhood school if it is not Carlton Gardens Primary. All enrolment applications will be considered in line with the Enrolment Policy and will follow the Department's Placement Policy.

The enrolment committee, consisting of at least one member of the leadership team, will review all documents and make a decision regarding the enrolment of the student in line with the Placement Policy
All enrolments during the year across all grades will require a processing period of approximately one week before the enrolment is confirmed.
Foundation (Prep) enrolments follow the statewide process, outlined here. In Victoria, students must turn 5 before April 30 to be enrolled in Foundation (Prep).
